Description
🔌🏠 V2LPower – Car-to-home package for Fisker Ocean
⚠️ Important before you buy
- The solution uses Fisker's original V2L adapter, and our cable connects to the adapter's Schuko socket. The adapter is not included – you must already have it.
- Check the plug type before you buy: The plug type and rating data of Fisker's adapter have not yet been verified by V2LPower. Contact us if your adapter does not have a Schuko socket.
- Fisker's original V2L adapter plugs into the car's charging port. Our package contains no Type 2 plug – the cable runs from the adapter's Schuko socket to a blue CEE wall inlet.
- The car's V2L function must be active and work with the original adapter.
How the solution works
Our adapter cable connects to the Schuko socket on Fisker's original V2L adapter and carries the power to a blue CEE wall inlet. From there, the power goes to our V2L Power converter, which converts alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC) and is connected to the DC input of the solar inverter. This allows power from the car's battery to be used via the existing installation of the solar power system.
🎥 See the solution in operation on a Fisker Ocean
The video shows a real, working set-up on a Fisker Ocean: Fisker's original V2L adapter in the car's charging port, a cable to a blue CEE wall inlet and the V2L Power converter next to a hybrid inverter with a battery. The video is not documentation of the installation's safety or of a specific continuous power output. The power figure on the inverter's display is a single reading, not a documented or guaranteed output. The actual power depends on the car, the adapter and the installation.
⚡ Power
The converter is set to the power that the car and the adapter can deliver stably. The setting is agreed with you, and the actual stable power depends on the car, the adapter and the installation. If the converter is set higher than the car's V2L system can deliver, the car may cut off the output.
📏 Mounting and placement
- The converter is mounted no more than 56 cm from the solar inverter.
- It is placed indoors or outdoors in a protected environment that is rainproof and well ventilated – e.g. in an outdoor rack cabinet.
- 🧲 The converter has magnets for attaching it to a metal surface, e.g. a shelf or a rack.
- The wall inlet and the connection to the solar inverter must be carried out by an authorised electrician.
📦 The package contains
- V2L Power converter
- Adapter cable Schuko → blue CEE in your chosen length: 5 m, 7.5 m or 10 m. If you choose 0 m, the cable is not included.
- Wall inlet (blue CEE)
- 3 blue cable lugs
- 56 cm solar cable
- 2 yellow cable lugs
🧰 What you need yourself
- Fisker Ocean with an active V2L function
- Fisker's original V2L adapter with a Schuko socket (check the plug type on your adapter)
- If you choose 0 m: your own adapter cable from Schuko to blue CEE
- A solar power system with an inverter whose DC input suits the solution – have this confirmed by your electrician
- An authorised electrician for the wall inlet and the connection to the inverter
🛡️ Safety
- Keep plugs and connections dry. Do not leave the Schuko connection lying in water or snow.
- Do not use cables or plugs with visible damage.
- The solution does not provide backup power during a power cut unless your inverter has a backup function. A standard grid-tied inverter switches off when the grid is down.
